Dave Cheney- From Weymouth,MA/Age 30/Hight 6'-5"/Weight-305 lbs
Dave missed most of the 2005 season due to major knee injury. In 2006 Dave has broken a personal record in almost
every game since, and hopes to continue the streak into 2007
Dave has competed all over New England: Ma, CT, NH, Maine,
RI, VT, and NY.
Dave is a licenced electrician who works at a research and development company (Foster-Miller) He lives
in Weymouth,Ma with his 4 kids Ben, Makala, Nick, and John.
Dave and his sister Dawn are the co-founders of the Saint
Jude Highland Games, and hope to continue this great charity event for a very long time.

Hapy Mayer-Age: 35/From: Fayston, Vermont/Competing for 5 years
Hapy's Clan: Stewart (though I wear my wife's Kennedy tartan)
In addition to many games attended in New England and New York area, Hapy has traveled to games in Newburgh, Scotland,
Chicago, IL, Alexandria, VA, Spencerville, Canada, Honolulu, Hawaii, and Colorado.
Hapy is the owner and chief financial officer of Small Dog Electronics, an internet reseller of Apple Macintosh computers
and peripherals, with locations on the web and two retail stores in Vermont. Besides Scottish heavy athletics, Hapy's
interests include blacksmithing, and raising American Eskimo dogs. He lives in Fayston with his wife Jessica and their
4 dogs: Magnus, Laika, Saku, and Sidney.

Denise Houseman- Born 1962 /HT 5' 11" /Native of Hudson, Massachusetts /Current resident of Manchester,
NH /Occupation: Exercise Physiologist
In the early 1980s at the University of New Hampshire she was among the first women to throw the 4K hammer in
Division I schools. She is a nationally ranked masters athlete with USATF in the shot put, hammer, discus & 20# weight
throw.
She entered her first Highland Games at age 40. In 2005 she was runner-up at the Master's World Championships and in 2006
she was crowned Champion at the Master's World Championships in Inverness, Scotland.

Al Dargie-DOB: 1965/Height: 5’9”/Weight: 210
Inspired by the Masters World Championships in Hopkinton, NH, Al started training with the
goal of future completion. In 2006, Al competed in several local games and won the Masters class at the Pipes in the Valley
games in Hartford, CT.
Al is the owner of UpTime, LLC, a computer and network solutions company that services southern
Maine and seacoast New Hampshire. Al and his wife Deb and their two children reside in York, Maine.

Kate Mason, 27 years old, Hometown- New Haven, CT
Athletic Background... 6-Time All-American in Track and Field (4k Hammer and 20lb Weight Throw) (Southern CT State
University.. home of Bogue, Bourque, Hamelin, Zolkiewicz, Howe etc.. ) First started in the highland games 8 years
ago, but only competed in goshen, CT once/yr for pre-season training for track. Took 4 years off from the games (after
retiering from track), then returned this year to give it a try, and see if I could achieve marks high enough to train with
my old training partners who have now gone PRO. So far soo good. As of today, I'm ranked 5th in the U.S for amatuer women,
and 9th overall.
